Panic gripped the town of Mkhuhlu on Friday morning as a luxury Mercedes-Benz was ambushed by gunmen using high-calibre weapons. Three men were caught in a "calculated and violent" attack that has left the local community terrified.
Brigadier Donald Mdhluli confirmed that police found the vehicle riddled with holes near a local hospital around 11:00 AM. Two victims died instantly, while the third succumbed to his wounds in the hospital.

Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi, has already mobilized a dedicated task team to hunt down the killers. While the victims are suspected to be illegal miners, the motive remains under investigation.
