CAPE TOWN – The South African Police Service (SAPS) has successfully rescued 25-year-old Promise Ndlovu after a terrifying ordeal following an online date. Ndlovu was discovered unconscious in a Cape Town hotel room, tied to a chair with her mouth covered in plaster.
Authorities were alerted to the situation and acted swiftly to infiltrate the room. Their rapid response is being credited with saving the young woman’s life. Investigations indicate that Ndlovu checked into the hotel on the morning of January 30, 2025, accompanied by a man identified as Emmanuel Okoro.

After checking into the hotel at approximately 07:00 AM, the suspect allegedly restrained Ndlovu, leaving her unable to call for help.
