FISHERMAN (34) DROWNS IN XINGWEDZI RIVER 🌊💔

A NIGHT OF FISHING ENDS IN A FUNERAL!

Malamulele is in mourning after Mathew Chauke (34) lost his life in the dark waters of the Xingwedzi River on Saturday night. What was supposed to be a peaceful trip with friends turned into a desperate fight for survival.

Reports say Chauke was attempting to swim across the river to join a friend on the opposite bank when the current became too strong. Despite his friends' heroic efforts to pull him out and perform CPR, the young fisherman never regained consciousness.

"We tried everything to save him. The river was just too powerful tonight. We've lost a brother." — Heartbroken Witness

SAPS arrived at the scene near Mtititi Altein at 21:15, only to find the community in shock. EMS later declared him dead on the riverbank.

DANGER ALERT: Police are warning residents to stay away from deep currents at night. One mistake in the water can cost you everything.
